My Day Today: My Dad’s Visit
I am NOT going to argue how my day is and has been going today, I didn’t plan on going anywhere today because on Monday, I got a text from my 83 year old dad telling me of his plans for Wednesday and the weekend, and one of the things he wanted to do was to stop in for a visit and be here between 9 am and 10 am. Knowing that Jackie would be here Wednesday morning because it is Deb’s day off now—no longer Thursday—Jackie was here by 8:30 am and got me in the bathroom in time before I pooped in my underwear because I really had to go from not going yesterday due to the fact that I have had bowel movements the past couple of days in the late afternoon and evening, and no bowel movement yesterday. I had a break from using the bathroom yesterday until this morning when Jackie helped me get ready. The visit with my dad was a great one. Jackie pretty much did all the talking while dad told us how things were going for him and Sandy, I WAS afraid he WAS going to be CRITICAL IN ANY OF MY ENDEAVORS, but Jackie did all the talking as to why she wanted me to move from here to go to to another apartment complex. She even mentioned home dialysis to my dad to understand that in the winter, we can be at home doing treatment instead of being going out in the cold on bad days, and dad DID NOT be critical or say anything NEGATIVE today. Jackie puts EVERYTHING in perspective for him about me. I am stuck in a love and hate relationship with Jackie and my dad for the rest of my life I guess. Jackie has been the best caregiver I’ve had these past three years and she promised me she was not going to abandon me. If she does break her promise or abandon me, I think my dad would chase her about from his grave. She is the best caregiver I’ve had in the past few years!
The Rest of My Day
After my dad’s visit, Jackie and I went down to get any mail, but everything was tore up and trashed, lol. It was no bills, well there was my electric bill, but I already paid it Sunday evening and told Jackie I paid $101 and some change, and when got upstairs, we called the electric company to find out WHY my bill was $100 lately and neither one of us can’t wait to get out of this building I call a home because it has a hallway. After making the call, we watched and listened to Paula Zahn. Then I was ready for getting into bed or just go to my room for the rest of the afternoon and evening while Jackie did other things at home and take her Yoda to the vet for more blood tests. Yoda has an enlarged liver I believe. Yoga’s her husband’s cat and he’s been gone for 3 1/2 years because he died of cancer because doctors and nurses failed to care for him properly. So I have been watching Wednesday again. Yes, the first season anyway, and will begin watching the second season tomorrow.
