Today was one of those days where I had a day to myself after 11:30 AM. While Debbie has had been out of tow since Friday morning, Jackie came over to check up on me during one of the coldest weekends of Wisconsin this winter, and today being Sunday, I have been watching Supernatural all day and evening, reading, and journaling as my day continues throughout the day. Also, because of the cold all weekend, I do have to admit that being comfortable in my bedroom has not been a problem for me whatsoever. For the first time in a very long time I had the day pretty much to myself after 11:30 AM. I enjoyed every minute of my day without any worry in the world. Jackie was here long enough to make sure my electronics and chargers were in working order, her day was time stamped properly for the day, I had supper in my Mickey Mouse lunch bag, snacks and water by my bed where I can reached them. Having the day to myself was a great day!
Having a day to myself from 11:30 AM has been great. Although I was in bed since Saturday afternoon after getting home from dialysis treatment, I have finished reading Nancy Drew’s The Spider Sapphire Mystery and watching/listening to the tv show Supernatural starring Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki all day. I have no problem being in bed on the weekends to be honest with you. I call my days in bed my relaxation time. Also, because I do go to dialysis on Saturdays, from Saturday afternoon when I get home from treatment, I call the weekend my dialysis weekend because I do not return to have dialysis again until Tuesday afternoon from 12 noon to 2:45 PM. Today was the first time in a long time, practically 4 years now, that I had a day to myself. I will also be honest with you, this has been my first day to myself I have accepted among other things I have accepted since 2022! I want Sundays to be days like today more often than they have been lately. I can do it for one day a week. I will be talking to Jackie about it this week. I think we can manage and give Debbie a worry-free afternoon off after she leaves for church Sunday morning at 8:30 AM.
