MY LIFE IN WORDS

Seriously? YES!
Fri May 23 2025

I do have to admit that I have been disgusted and disappointed with the dialysis team at MercyHealth lately that my caregiver Jackie and I are looking into moving to Fresenius as soon as possible. After last week’s stint in the hospital, I learned more about the clinic and some of the staff that can make anyone’s blood boil. After telling Dr. Anjum something in confidence about an employee, not only did he breach, but the person I have an issue with came to me saying Dr. Anjum said that I have issues with her, Kay, the social worker at MercyHealth Dialysis Center. My caregiver is not happy with the situation now, and I am, unless things blow over, not going back to Dr. Anjum when my second kidney transplant begins to fail. If a second transplant can be found. I WILL be leaving MercyHealth Dialysis Center and going to Fresenius soon. I WILL NOT continue my treatment at the Mercy’s Dialysis Clinic. I am, for sure, leaving Mercy Dialysis Clinic behind, and leaving those I made friends with will indeed break my 💔 heart, but I am no longer happy at the dialysis clinic I have trusted for 6 years now. I am not happy with this clinic any longer except I will miss some of the patients I know by name and face and the technicians Jon, Sam, Tiffany, Chelsea, Felicia, and nurses Tiffany, Stephanie, Felicia, Tanya, Penni, and Corinna. I have lost a few patient friends who came to outpatient dialysis in the years I’ve attended dialysis myself though the past 5 to 5 1/2 years, and those I see while going by other chairs will be missed when I do leave MercyHealth.

With that all said and planned, I have been told by Mercy’s social worker Kay, when we filled all the paperwork a few months ago and Jackie decided to keep me there after all, Kay, told me that she will not fill this paperwork again if I want to transfer later on. Ummm, Kay can’t say that to any patient. Jackie talked to Kay and Kay told her that if I leave here, I will not be welcomed back here.  Ummm, a social worker doesn’t have clout of who comes and goes. Dr. Anjum is the one who allows patients to come and go from what I understand. Dr. Anjum is the head of the clinic. Also, Kay has come to me during the first part of my evaluation at Froedert for my name being on the kidney transplant list, saying that Froedert may not consider me a kidney transplant patient. When Jackie heard this, she called Froedert sand found out what Kay said was not true. They haven’t decided yet.. Will find out on May 29th. So, at this time, I am doing EVERYTHING I can while at the outpatient dialysis center to keep my head above water and treading water the best I can.
