I am 55 years old now and celebrating my birthday is no big deal now-a-days. I could care less if my birthday is celebrated anymore. Getting gifts is always nice but not necessary these days as well, but I do want to acknowledge my birthday to others with treats so I took bubble pops to the dialysis clinic today for the patients and staff. If I get a couple of suckers, I am all good. I want others to have a treat from me once in a while since today was my birthday all day.
Today, 55 years ago at 7:30 am, I was born breach and gulped in some cold air and was revived and fought to keep my life. Now, at age 55, I can say I have lived a normal life with a condition called cerebral palsy. I learned about life in the world of the hand and disabled growing up and have been to camp as a disabled child having fun at a camp dorm and out in the woods to enjoy life as a child with a disability. Living in a world with people who are not disabled is NOT easy but doable. Yet, as the days of Jesus’ return comes closer each day of my life, now 55 years old, I see that living in this world is getting tougher as the days continue. I believe in the second coming of Jesus Christ our Savior and Lord.
Now, I can go on about Jesus Christ, but I won’t do so today. I have been to and from dialysis and tomorrow I have a 4th of July celebration to go to with other Garden Court neighbors and friends who will be attending. I am trying to be more attentive to my friends and neighbors now that I am in my summer months.
