Dialysis Update For Friday, May 15, 2026

I will NOT complain and argue about how my day went today. I had a fair and good day all day long even though I spent 3 hours dialyzing on a machine this morning from 9:15 AM to 12:15 PM today. I have been doing dialysis 4 days of the week for a couple of months now that is part of my daily schedule except Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday. Even though I haven’t written about dialysis this week, I have to say that today we did not have any problems today after yesterday’s machine issues during treatment on Thursday. When Deb was setting up the machine this morning, she noticed a mistake Jackie made with setting up the machine the other morning for Thursday’s treatment. Or at least figured out why the machine WAS acting up and alarming every few minutes or so for the first hour of my three hour treatment 4 days a week at home and 3 days a week at the clinic. Today’s treatment had no alarms going off at all, and that is fine by me. I want to admit that I love not hearing the alarm going off on the machine, too. Doing dialysis at home is convenient and less time consuming to sit for 3 hours 4 days a week to have my blood cleaned effectively without any problems according to what doctors and dialysis technicians and nurses can see in reports from blood tests taken from my blood each month. Here is a video on the person was who invented the first dialysis machine for kidney failure patients who have to have dialysis.
