I was in grade school at Harmony Elementary School, and Patti Arnold and I were in the same grade at this time. I am not sure of which grade we were in — 2nd or 3rd grade — but Patti had asked me to spend the night and my mom and her mom arranged the night and off I went to sleep at a home I did not know. I didn’t even go to any birthday parties of Patti’s I do not remember through those days, either, but I do know I went to birthday parties growing up around Janesville and Milton during my grade school days. Those days were different from middle and high school days by far. Kids didn’t tease kids who were different in elementary school so much — at least tease me — until I was in 5th grade about my disability and so-called looks. Kids in 5th grade, middle school, and high school were mean and more cruel I noticed and guessed. I did not like it so much then, either.
Well, Debbie H is here now getting my dialysis machine set up for treatment today, and I will be getting ready for the morning in a few minutes myself. I just wanted to write what has been on my mind lately and start sharing my thoughts before getting busy for the next 4 hours of my day as I dialyze for 3 hours at home on the machine I have here. I will not be writing much during dialysis because I need to put both phone and iPad on the charger this morning. iPad is almost 50% and my phone is almost at 50%, too!
