I am having a good day so far. In fact, Deb came by 8:45 AM, and I got dressed and had an egg and three pancakes for breakfast. Jackie got here by 10 AM and she and Deb went through what was necessary to throw away in the fridge and freezer, then we took garbage and recycling out to the respectable bins in the parking lot. Deb left for the day while Jackie and I walked, and I drove my power chair to the library to get more bus tokens and then go to Citrus Café for lunch. Jackie had a soup and water, and I had a grilled chicken club wrap with turkey bacon instead of beef 🥩 bacon. I will have the other half for supper tonight. After lunch we went HealthNet to arrange an appointment for my teeth when I learned they take Forward Health/Medicaid. I have my first dental appointment in a while in October at 2 PM—even the 19th or the 29th. I just looked at the date, and my dental appointment is October 29th. I can tell you that I am NOT 👀 looking forward to it at all. I literally hate dentists because they hurt me, and do not understand my anxiety.
After getting back from Citrus Café, Jackie and I visited with our favorite neighbors for a while before coming up here by 3 PM to make some very important calls.
Important Phone Calls
I will be very happy to tell you that if I could avoid making important phone calls, I would not make any calls. My renewal for food stamps and such is coming to a close, so I called the Consortium with Jackie here in case I run into something I do not understand, but I did pretty good. After that call, Jackie called Dr. Taylor’s office to get some things done for my evaluation through Froedert Hospital’s kidney list. I am feeling a little nervous and I am very frightened. Anyway, important phone calls were made today.
Afterwards
When the important calls were made and handled, Jackie and I got my snacks and water by my bed, and I got to my room with a wonderful effort walking to my bedroom without any feeling of heavy leaded legs or sore arms from pushing my walker in front of me for the first time in a very long time. Shortly after getting into bed for the rest of the afternoon, it was going on 4 PM and Jackie signed out of work and left for the afternoon and evening, and I have been watching Ray Bradbury Theater since Monday.

As my day draws to a close, I have one more dialysis treatment coming up tomorrow. I am going to continue to work on my journals for a while yet tonight. Jackie will be here by 9 AM to 9:15 AM since Deb has to be out of town tomorrow with her son who is a senior in high school now and is taking the time to explore some colleges. I am in bed with my cat kiddos sleeping/napping in their bedroom cat tree. I am getting tired. I feel I had a great day in such a long time. More later…
