My Sunday All Day

For the holiday being Easter and Jesus’ day of resurrection, I did not celebrate with any holiday meal in my home today.  Today was a regular Sunday lived by me as an  ordinary day of rest prepared by me on a regular weekend of my weekends spent at home alone all day in my bedroom cuddled with my  Magic and Millie cats throughout the day and night. I did not have any special dinner to celebrate Easter. For some reason, with Easter late in April this year has made it seem like a regular, ordinary day

Ken and Tanya, my boyfriend and his mom, came by for an hour and a half today. We watched an episode of Extreme Home Makeovers on Netflix this afternoon. Tanya finds, now that she has a job to do on the Sabbath at church that Sundays work better for her and Ken to visit with me for the day, an hour so she can go back home to help her roommates around the house. I find whatever works for Ken and Tanya will work for me as well although I do miss the Sabbath afternoons with them right now. I’m okay with it, though. If seems like a big change to me  but at least I was forewarned about it ahead of time once we lost Janet Nodland in death over a month ago now. RIP Janet N until Jesus comes back to claim His people to be with him in heaven .

Because there was no Sunday School at Bethel Baptist Church today, Deb came back to work with me before she went to have Easter dinner with family. It was a fair, good day for a Sunday for me. When I do not have dialysis on Saturdays anymore, I find M, W, F wonderful to some extent a lot better than T, Th, and Sat. Yet, I have not been back to church physically yet, but that’s okay. I am still an Adventist

today.

When It Comes to the Weekends…

I love them more than my dialysis weekend being Saturday afternoon to Tuesday morning. Since I mixed to M, W, and Fri, I find my weekends more normal than Saturday afternoon to Tuesday morning. That is what I love about the weekend these days. I look forward to them once I leave the clinic Friday afternoon for two days. I leave the weekends open to visitors then. Ken and Tanya come over every other Saturday or Sunday so they can visit other church members in need of company. Since we have lost Dave L and Janet N. Ken  and Tanya B visit others in need. Where Tanya moved earlier this year, she moved into a friend’s home to help her friend and her friend’s husband who is not 100% well with a heart issue. My weekends are looked forward to today with excitement most of the time, but I have despised my weekends at one time or another in the past. I also look forward to Mondays when Dr. Anjum makes his rounds at the dialysis clinic with his patients on Mondays and Tuesdays. Due to medical insurance purposes, Dr. Anjum doesn’t come to the clinic is there are 5th Monday of the month. That is not always understood on a bad day..
