When it comes to my parents (my dad and his wife Sandy) they have been married for 44 years now. Sometime this afternoon, while online, I decided to send them a message via text wishing them a happy anniversary. I had gotten a reply back from his wife by her giving me a 👍🏻 to the text. When my stepmother responds to my text with an emoji, I am perfectly fine with it. Most of my family like to text more than talk on the phone these days. I am okay with it even though I prefer talking to someone on one on the phone, but I understand.
