At 11 PM I ended up calling Jackie because Magic scratched me on the head by the hair line, and it was bleeding badly. I did not want to call for an ambulance. Jackie and I had a screaming match and her words were a few swear words, and I said something that made her hang up with anger. I was screaming because I was upset and scared. She decided to come over and I was screaming obscenities myself and she came running in yelling that I am scaring the babies and neighbors can hear me, and she told me to shut up. Well, I was pissed. Royally pissed! How dare her be yelling at me for a cat scratch! I could not get the cat scratch to stop bleeding when usually I do.
Well, to be honest, Jackie did come to help me with the bleeding, she called Deb, and they decided to get me to the ER to get the scratch checked out because one of toe scratches was a little deeper and it was on the head and the head bleeds more. So, Jackie helped me get into my power chair safely, and we went to the ER on foot and power chair taking my Marie H with us. We get there in fifteen minutes, got in the ER room. in 30 mins during an inactive time on Thursday night. There were no patients waiting to be looked at, but while we were waiting for a room, a pregnant woman came in.
Now, yes, I was not bleeding anymore, but I had dried blood on my face and in my hair and we went to the ER between 11:30 PM to make sure that the scratch gash did not need a stitch or staple since it was deeper. Also, with my kidney disease and doing dialysis for the past five year, Jackie and Deb wanted to make sure it was cleaned well by a professional and looked at by a doctor. Driving to the hospital and back was something I wanted to do?! No, not really! Marie walked with Jackie and I to be safe at that hour because of the homeless and it was late at night. We get to the hospital within 15 to 20 minutes.
Finding out that my plight was not dire, and the scratch just needs to have Neosporin or antibacterial ointment, we, Jackie, Marie, and I left the ER, getting back a few minutes after 1 AM. I get back into bed, and Jackie and Marie leave, and Deb came at 8:15 AM to get me ready for the day and out the door for dialysis treatment. Woohoo, one treatment for the weekend will be here.
Seven Hours Later
Waking up to Deb coming, I had awakened with some confusion and forgot for a moment or two that Debbie was coming in the morning and be off Saturday and Sunday. I did remember that it was Friday and a dialysis day. I had only 6 hours of sleep because I did not get to sleep until after 3 AM. The trip to and from the ER gave me my second wind, my caffeine without the sugar or drinking anything with caffeine. Have you ever heard of such a thing like that? I have not heard of it myself.
