Dialysis Update
I still do not want to be here, but I need to be dialyzed three times a wee, to get fluid and toxins out of my body and blood. Today the area is busier than it was on Monday getting patients hooked up to the machines, and I got on by 11:30 AM today, I have had my snack of crackers (my favorite being Mickey Mouse crackers and Gold Fish). The Mickey Mouse crackers are shaped like Mickey Mouse. I have this snack every dialysis day, hehehe… delicious! I ❤️ them.
I am keeping to myself to my business in my cubbyhole today. I am not in the mood to talk or say hello to other patients today. I am tired and reserved, but I did say hello to a couple of technicians while passing them to chair #18, my spot at dialysis today. I do not want to be here at this clinic right now. Jackie understands and wants me out of the clinic as well because they have made her angry. She has not been fond of Mercy because they did not respect her and her husband who succumbed to cancer in 2022 before working with me as my caregiver. Yes, she has been with me for two years. Yes, our relationship is rocky at times because we butt heads during the week and every week—yesterday we butt heads all day long, but by the time we got me on the bed and comfortable for the evening and night, I was feeling a little better with my day being so emotional yesterday. I was not getting my feelings with Jackie very well, but when she arrived, she told me she was not mad at me, but unhappy with certain people in my life, and I have been out of sorts since Kay said what said Friday while I was at dialysis getting my treatment. Jackie also believes that sometimes the dialysis workers purposely get me upset and moody at times. I agree with her. So, since Friday, I have decided that I am going to leave Mercy and go to Fresenius with the help of the SSM Health staff to get things rolling and out of Mercy dialysis for good.
With that all said and my rant is finally done this afternoon, I have an hour left for treatment, I am doing good so far. I have asked them to dialyze me to take 2200 kilograms of fluid and toxins out oh my body and my count continues to go up at the BPR (Blood Pump Rate) at 400. The UF has been steady at a couple of seconds and at 1:22 PM, my UF is at 1490 as the DF (Dialysis Flow) at a600, temperature at 36.0 degrees Celsius, 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit. The conductivity is at 13.7, and now I have 48 minutes left to dialyze at 1:27 P M. Woohoo, I will be calling YBWF in 16 minutes to let my ride know when I will be downstairs waiting.
