Welcoming Someone New to Dear Diary (DD)
Waking up this morning to check DD out a little bit, I found someone new to DD has joined DD. I am always looking forward to meeting someone new or reconnect with other diarists of DD. I always looking forward to forward to what others have to say as they share their lives with me as I share my life with other diarists my way. I have decided to be a follower to others at DD because life here at DD is worth being here. I have been here since 2001 when DD was yet in its infancy and new tome. In 2001, I was struggling emotionally and mentally, and wondered if there were any place on the World Wide Web for me to write publicly and freely without feeling like an outsider looking in. Well, I found Dear Diary in my search as if it was meant to be. I went to Dear Diary and haven’t left ever since. Other diarists welcomed me to DD quickly. I’ve considered DD my new home then and never left, and grew up through the years as others came and went as well. Now, we have someone new and I want this person to know that they are welcome here. DD is a wonderful place to be as we, the authors of our diaries and lives, and we are not alone in journaling.
