Today’s outing to the movies was planned last week when the movie Wicked came out on November’s 22nd. We waited for a few days. I got on the bus to meet my friend Marie at the bus transfer center and got on the Milton Avenue bus route to meet Jackie and Deb at Movies 16. Jackie was coming from her aunt’s place, and Deb could only be with us for the first movie Wicked. Also, jackie cannot be walking out in the colder weather or she would be out of work since she can get sick remarkably easy. After seeing the movie Wicked, we decided to see The Best Pageant Ever sieve Moana 2 was sold out today.
For the first movie we had popcorn and candy, and the second move we had popcorn, nachos, and pretzel bites. The food was okay, but a lot of carbs and calories in a sitting for two long movies. Wicked was 2 1/2 hours long while The Best Christmas Pageant was 1 1/2 hours long. I do have to admit that spending a couple of hours riding the bus to and from your designated place to be can take your chilly morning and warm you up a bit with the excitement of doing something fun for the day can be so important during the thanksgiving season. You cannot ask for more until children and teenagers do not behave or look out for others as we find one another in the same path. Yes, a mother with children were in the movie theater watching The Best Movie Ever causing some disruption with the entrance and exit doors, and it was irritating Jackie who was trying to enjoy the second movie, but could not. Upon leaving the theater and heading out, teenagers were not watching me coming in my power chair very carefully, and the next thing I noticed was three teenagers on side and three teenagers on the other side walk past my chair finally giving me room to drive in the hallway. I practically ran over the teenagers because they did not see until too late. It was Al miracle that I did not hit any of the kids. The lobby was full of parents and kids. While Jackie, Marie, and I waited to decided on what to do for our second movie, three teenage girls were acting like teenagers do when they were making a mess with the slushee machine and giggling about it causing the mess to be a sticky situation for the theater staff to clean up later. It was not a pretty moment and kind of disturbing to be honest with you.
