This morning, Sunday 11, 2025, my caregiver Deb called Froedert Hospital to talk to the nurse taking calls for the doctor on call of the specialist of the GI. She described my bowels being black and tarry in color with some blood that she wiped out of my butt this morning. When the description got me going to the ER to get checked out, Deb walking with me while I drove/rode to the ER using my power chair with Jackie meeting us there. Deb and I got to the parking garage before we both noticed Jackie pulling into the parking lot of the hospital and Mercy West Clinic. Perfect timing! The three of us got to the ER at the same time. With all that is going on right now, I will do my best to update things.

I am in the ER and I am waiting to be taken to a room for an overnight stay to talk to the GI specialist later or tomorrow. Yes, I am being admitted into the hospital for observation and to see the GI doctor. In the meantime I am going to do my best at staying optimistic about life. I am afraid something isn’t right and now I will not get on the kidney transplant list for a new kidney to get away from dialysis again.
