Oh, my goodness gracious, I have been more stressed out than I thought because I went to the ER today thinking I had an UTI because of the symptoms were there and the test came back negative, so I do not have an UTI. Why did I go to the ER then? Well, I thought I had an UTI. I prone to getting them really easily unfortunately and my kidney is not working properly.
There is a doctor in the ER who has worked with me before decided to do a couple of other blood tests to see if I had a blood infection from my catheter for dialysis and the culture came back negative as well. I was very happy about that. How the doctor was forthcoming to me about the negative blood tests was asking me if I wanted to go to home, LOL. My caregiver Jackie and Deb asked about my blood results, and I nodded yes and smiled. The nurse came in and took the IV out, and Dr. K said he talked to my nephrologist Dr. Anjum to concur with him about anything and the findings of the tests had given my blood for. So, my day was kind of interesting in my way of thinking, and nerve-wrecking. I was relieved when the tests and the CT and x-ray can back negative and were fine and good.
When I got home, I had to call MTM to schedule some medical appointments for January and February. In the process of scheduling future medical and physical therapy appointments through January 15th through February 28, 2025, and the agent saw that my rides to dialysis were not in as reoccurring trips for the last party of January, so the agent and I spent over 60 minutes talking about these appointments before hanging up, and after hanging up, I saw that January 13th had no ride for me for therapy. It was so frustrating that, honestly, my stress has been so great lately. Now, I will have to call MTM in the morning and get my schedule straightened out for dialysis because trying to set up the appointment for Monday cannot be done if I do it myself on the MTM app on my phone or iPad. Geez, what a day! What a week that began a week ago when I learned my cousin passed away from cancer at home Saturday morning.
