A new day has come and so I consider this a new day. Why not?
Yesterday Recapped
Yeah, I get that I am emotional meltdown wears me out, but dialysis wears me out a little bit more at times. Yesterday’s treatment went well without any hitches even though the alarm went off a couple of times for some reason. My blood pressure could not be measured, my blood pressure read low, and the tech or nurse has to adjust the blood pressure cuff, or the arterial or venous lines need attention, or my pressure number needs to be lowered because my catheter is not having a good day or is being positional, or the machine has a mechanical glitch. Otherwise, my catheter works great, and I got out of dialysis at 2:30 PM and my ride arrived five minutes later.

I had gotten home, visited with my friends in the lobby for a few minutes even though I did not want to (honestly). Then Jackie and I went upstairs to my apartment, popped in a Digorno pizza and ate four pieces and leave two more for Thursday’s supper. Then I was ready for bed.
A New Day
With this being a new day, Deb is not here on Thursdays, so I wait for Jackie to get here by 9:30 and 10 AM. Jackie got here at 9:30 AM, signed in, and got me to the bathroom, changed my underwear and shorts for the day. After that, she took care of my medications, brought out my iPad and phone, and did a couple of things while I got comfortable sitting on my power chair in recline mode. We are not going anywhere today, but Jackie will go get us sub sandwiches at Subway or Jimmy Johns. The weather looks like rain coming today.
Garden Court News & Jackie is Making Some Noise!
Well, remember me mentioning what happened to me regarding my rent? Well, it went up from $330 to $413 because they are using my WisPACT trust fund as income when it is NOT to be counted as income. Jackie and I called Legal Action in Wisconsin and I now, I have a case in the works to be looked at, and now things are moving ahead. Hmmm? Also, Jackie had talked to my dad about the things that are going on around here and what they said they did or did not do. My dad told her to write and send letters to certain places and get word out that there are problems around here. Hmm? Jackie is making some noise, woohoo!
You do not want to mess with Jackie Paul! No one should. Do not even try, either. She will advocate for anyone in need, and she is my advocate when I cannot find mine and writing my feelings will work. Well, umm, she has called the number for the City of Janesville and told them what is going on at Garden Court right now. We have complained that my air conditioner needs to be cleaned from the mold that is building up inside it, and the other day the air conditioner was not working properly in the heat above 90 degrees. My heat register read at 80 degrees, and it does not cool my apartment down at all. This was Tuesday when I got back from my med check appointment with Joeylynn at Mercy Options.
I came up here before Jackie came by to work with me after her appointment. A neighbor and friend Marie helped me get into my apartment, and it was warm. My air conditioner is not working properly! We have complained and had the air conditioner looked at by maintenance, but they did not fix or remedy the problem. Jackie was told that when an air conditioner is not working properly, the office is to call Hvac (not sure of how it’s spelled) to service the air conditioner and to see if it truly needs to be cleaned up or replaced! Oh, really? Nope, Garden Court does NOT do that. Jackie even told the city that they come and enter my apartment when I am not home when I ask them to wait until I am home, and I am in my bedroom already in bed and cannot and will not get out of bed without my brace and shoes on. Anyway, the city said they can not help me with that. Anyway, the city has called Garden Court’s management office downstairs and told them they have to look into my air conditioner next week. Then Jackie got a call and was told to write a work order and put it in the box to get looked at. My goodness gracious, Jackie thinks the management and maintenance are lazy bastards and bitches. Excuse me for including to agree, okay? Thanks! Jackie does not put up with bullshit. Sorry!
Okay, Garden Court has next week to have my air conditioner taken care of properly and if they do not, Jackie will make more noise. In the meantime, I have a case with Legal Action being looked into, and management KNOWS. The people at Legal Action say I do have a case, and they are working on it right now.
