MY LIFE IN WORDS

My Day Today

What Did I Do Today?

I had an omelette with mushrooms, broccoli, and carrots. Jackie got the wrong stir fry instead of peppers and onions, but the veggie stir fry is good for omelettes, too, for breakfast. I am watching the 13th season of Midsomer Murders. His is the last season John Nettles as Tom Barnaby stars on the show before Neil Dudgeon stars as John Barnaby —Tom’s cousin twice removed —and Midsomer Murders is celebrating 25 years of being on BBC and Live TV on Roku TV and Fire T V. Also, as a treat for me now, I was also playing Piggy Kingdom on my phone for 4 hours because when getting to the game I won a 30 minute life span and during the first 30 minutes of play time I ended up with another 3 hours of life to play the game. Once my lives were spent in the 3  hours, I collected another house playing against another player winning the game with over 200 points for passing levels. It was a wonderful afternoon. Deb came back by 3:30 pm and I had my leftover loaded nachos for supper tonight after she left at 5 pm. Now, still watching Midsomer Murders, I played a couple rounds of Bingo in Bingo Bling, and working on my diary for the night. My day was a very good day.

Caregiving

I have two caregivers who alternate weekends from time to time and this weekend Jackie has some time off because she has other things to do as a human being does in one’s life. Deb is working today anc tomorrow now and next week she will have off so she can go see family out of town next weekend, and Jackie will do Saturday and Sunday for Deb. I do not mind the girls taking off like that as long as they understand that I don’t trust a lot of people anymore from being burned and hurt in 2020 no thanks to Dawn Kastenmeier-Fry and her husband Scott. What she said and did in 2020 was horrible and I was without a caregiver for three weeks due to waiting for IRIS to state my new caregiver can start. I did not meet Jackie Paul until 2022 when I lost Mariah due to family dynamic change. I never see or hear from her, Mariah,on FB anymore. Jackie is the best caregiver I have had of all the caregivers I have had through the years since I have been with the IRIS program. I know Jackie and I have our moments working with one another everyday, but she loves what she does. I do like her. We have similar tempers and attitude that gets in the way every week, but we mistake no one for our similarities in life at 9 years apart in age. Scary, huh? Hell, yeah, it is unfortunately. My mom has been in and out of my life since I was 12 years old and Jackie’s mom has been gone since she was 12 years old due to illness. We have different family dynamics as well. We just have a lot going on in our lives that are different. She also lost a husband to cancer when we connected. I would be lost without Jackie now.
