Today started off quite slow until the clock hit 3:30 PM. Jackie was hosting a Pampered Chef party at Garden Court, and Deb and I headed down to the community room to set up some snacks. Jackie was out driving Aunt Mary to a doctor's appointment in Madison and got back between 4 PM and 4:30 PM. The party itself was slated to begin at 5:30 PM.

I'll be honest—I wasn’t keen on attending. If given the choice, I would have preferred to stay in my apartment, relaxing with a book or watching TV. While I do enjoy socializing, I prefer it when I feel like it rather than being compelled to. Nonetheless, I made my way downstairs, book in hand.

Upon arrival, I found neighbors and friends already engaged in lively conversation, preparing to enjoy some Papa John's pizza. Minutes after I entered, I was offered a slice, which I gladly accepted. Shortly after, Jackie arrived along with Aunt Mary, who had come to join the party after her doctor’s visit.
