Diary Entry I

A Whirlwind Of ThoughtBeen Awake All Night!

I will be very honest with you here, but I have been up since 7 AM yesterday (Tuesday) now, so I will be tired today, and after my dialysis treatment, my bedroom will be my place of comfort for the rest of the day once I come back to bed. ☺️ … Soooo, it is going to be a lllloooonnnngggg day for me today, but I am NOT going to fret or worry about it. I will run to the bathroom, change my underwear, get dressed for the day, dialyze on the machine for my three hour stint for/of the day since it is Thursday today.

Time For Myself

I have about 1 hour and 30 minutes left of my morning before Deb H returns to work at 8 AM for the morning and part of the afternoon. Last week, Jackie’s sleeping while she is at work here for me and Mikey G bothered me so much that I wanted to scream. This past Monday and Tuesday, I have had enough of her sleeping while at work. Yet, I didn’t say anything to her, but I did mention it to Deb, and I believe that she agrees with me it is ridiculous of Jackie not getting enough sleep. I have to admit that, because I did not have any sleep since the night before, I know tiredness from time to time like right now— ‘tired’ I will be okay, though. I have sleepless nights every now and then these days.

A Preference This Morning…

Today being the 25th, I have no plans to go anywhere today except to the living room to dialyze for 3 hours this morning around 9 AM to 12 PM today, and come back to my bed in my bedroom afterwards. For the past two hours, trying to rest my eyes every few minutes until Deb H gets here to get me to the bathroom and clean up for the day, I have been watching The Originals from the first show. I am in the mood to watch a tv show about vampires today. I might watch it in the living room today, too, from the beginning once again when I get our there for three hours in my dialysis chair. I will let Jackie take her sweet little nap even though it irritates me to no end lately for the past few days. When she was off on Sunday, I was glad she didn’t work for me and she will not work on Sundays unless Deb is out of town seeing her son at school or at her dad’s. Yeppers, Deb’s dad is still alive. My dad is 84 years old himself. My dad is getting old! LOL…

Dialysis Update I & A Memory Revisited

When my cat’s food dishes dispense food for them at 7 AM, 12 noon, and 6 PM everyday, both of them jump down and off from wherever they have planted their butts eat the time of their dishes filling up a cup of food morsels, they are right there ready to eat. Their water fountain is on the kitchen floor, but their food dishes are in my bedroom where they can be shut in while I am being hooked and unhooked to the dialysis machine each morning on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. I do wish, and I told Stephanie H, and Dr. Song yesterday, I wish I could do it three times a week like at the clinic, but nope. Shucks!! Oh well, though. I’m fine about the 4x a week at home to have a good cleaning of the blood. In 1987: when I learned how sick I was with total kidney failure and needed a kidney transplant to live past age 17, I was a teenager who thought her life was indeed over and I wouldn’t find a kidney until my mom stepped up to the plate to be tested, and was able to give me a kidney, I had lived 26 years with a perfect kidney functioning, and then having some normal abnormal kidney function for 5 years before having to go back on dialysis after 31 years. My nephrologist, Dr. Anjum, at the time, and for 4 years, got me set up with dialysis at their Mercy Dialysis Clinic where it was first located before the third floor above Mercy Hospital garage. I left Mercy Dialysis to go to Fresenius Dialysis Clunic in what Janesville residents the Creston Park Mall today off Milton Avenue for years to learn how to dialysis at home on the hemodialysis machine. We learned that hemodialysis can be done in the home while I was in the hospital taking care of a blood infection the second time I was hospitalized because I had a blood infection. They were not fun, but I got taken good care of both hospital visits for sure, though. I cannot deny it and was grateful.

See What I Mean??

I have had a lot to say this morning already today. More to come? Yes! Oh oh!

It's just amazing that you can do these treatments at home now. And I hear from what you write about your days that setting up sort of mental routines is helping you cope with the situation. My hat is off to you for your good attitude!
