Note: Posted this a little later than planned. Forgive me…
It’s Labor Day Today!
Move on over August and see you in 2026 because it’s September’s turn to shine for 30 days before the month leaves us no matter how the month goes for Miss Karnopp, and we do want her to have a fabulous month—don’t we?! I guess September, bring it on! ‘Sigh’ Anyway, I have some appointments I dare miss this month, and I am looking forward to what the future will bring this month as we, Jackie, Deb, and I, transition from when I go to a clinic for a 3 hour treatment three times a week to home dialysis 5 times a week at 3 hours on the hemodialysis machine. We are going to the clinic to be trained and taught how r to use a dialysis machine. I’m excited and, at the same time, I am nervous as heck, but this is ONE of the reasons WHY we have decided to leave MercyHealth Dialysis when we didn’t do it before my big snafu the clinic put me in May when I had my colonoscopy at Froedert Hospital and they WERE TOLD I was going to be out for a couple of days.
My Day
Deb will, be here shortly to wash my hair and give me my Monday bath 🛀 and I do NOT have any major plans today, I believe the library is closed today because it’s Labor Day, but I read the Goosebumps book in two days because it had 35 short chapters. It was a fast read for ME and I enjoyed reading a book a young person would read, and yesterday I watched a couple of Goosebump tv shows on Disney and enjoyed them. Even over the weekend, I watched Dead Time Stories starring Jennifer Stone from Wizards of Waverly Place as Harper Finkle, Alex’s best friend and Alex was played by Selena Gomez. These kind of shows don’t scare me like Friday the 13th and Halloween do, but yet horror movies don’t scare me too often anymore because I know it’s fake. Now, stories about homes being haunted and spirits are left in a home… … is real and scary. Yet, I still watch stuff like that to understand what to look for and how to avoid such hauntings in homes. I like Rene Russo who is a psychic medium and have watched her shows.
Getting Organized in Journaling Now
As far as my life is concerned, writing my thoughts is a very important step in my life to make sure is organized in my specifications and best written and MY words and NOT in AI’s (Artificial Intelligence’s) words unless I was writing a book. My DD sites My Life in Words and My DD, I am not writing a story in a professional sense. I am writing in the way I talk as my thoughts form on the screen or on paper. I am on my phone and iPad, and tv internet on a lot throughout the days of the week. Yep, I’m on my electronics ALL the time! I am always making a record of my thoughts and feelings at DD.
From this day forward, I will be using Pages or a notebook to write my thoughts and feelings down and place them in the proper diaries and journals I see fit. Getting on the DD site online has a slightly different format then Pages and MS365 has, and I want to format my journals and diaries a specific way. Although I am not perfect by any means, I want my journals and writings to be sound, grammatically correct the best have learned and practiced in my years of writing papers and essays in middle and high school, and the colleges I attended in my lifetime — Blackhawk Technical College, U-Rock, and UOPhx. Actually, I learned to write papers in APA when I took my time of attending classes online at UOPhx from 2005 — 2010 getting my bachelor’s and master’s in accounting there and only taking 1 to 2 classes at a time with the funding I had and those classes lasted 5 weeks at a time and I worked HARD to get a B average in my GPA to prove myself that I can do this college thing at my age of 40 years old. Later in life after struggling doing class work in the classroom. Yes, just like my mom, I got my degrees later in life.
When it comes to my writing in my diary and getting my thoughts and feelings on paper or in this case, words going across your computer and electronics screens, I do have to admit that my words need to be worth something that is NOT monetary. I went to school and college to better myself in education and I love to write and seriously, I love numbers so mathematics is my stronger suits of life. I am not good at mathematics past algebra like calculus, and maths after geometry. I’ve tried taking geometry in college and withdrew from the class in the second week. I’m good at solving equations and mathematical problems and word problems, I am a tad bit rusty but can manage them. I do enjoy learning something new and keep my mathematical skills and knowledge in review everyday of my life to keep my mind as sharp!
When I write in my journals from here on out, I will do my best at keeping the format the same and if I do use AI (Artificial Intelligence) I will make sure I report it as such for what the reason it may be or is going to be—because I am curious. I will also share any papers I write, for this fun of it to show you that I know how to write a paper in APA and MLA. If I understood my 10th grade teacher Mr. Carter better back then, I would have mastered writing papers in MLA or APA format back then. He was one teacher my stepmother Sandy really liked from the beginning of class and told me he was a teacher getting his students ready for college a couple of hours later. Ugh! What the heck. I was only 16 years old and embarrassed that my parents made me go to all of my parent/teacher conferences with them all three years and in my senior year of high school, they never went to parents’ night which upset me because I was there directing parents to classrooms through a group I was in and volunteered my time in things that year! Another ‘ugh’! See, I write what comes to mind at times and get off track! Hehehe…
More soon…
