From New Forest Back to DD Land
Wed Oct 30 2024

So...had a longish break from Diary. Not because didn't have anything to share, but a pure lack of time to do so...so many things to take care of...I thought, when I was looking after mom, I was busy. But, actually, it was completely opposite to that! I WAS busy, but with just ONE thing. That makes a big difference and I only see it now, after fell back into other routines and other commitments...so many distractions, so little of attention left in me, I found it hard at times to concentrate on a single thing until it completed...funny how I came originally into DD Land because with all the family and work and home I had, I didn't know what to do with myself, so sharing my thoughts worked well for me at that time...Now I've got just myself, so much lesser than what I used to have, yet that Less demands so much More of me, it is madness...

In three weeks since last post I had friend's birthday to organise, so went away for few days. The weather was rubbish - dull and rainy, so we did little of walking, spent a day in motor museum, brief walks around villages we stayed nearby and attended a jazz evening as a birthday treat for a friend. By the start of this little holiday I was already in need of a break, overwhelmed with the work as well as desperately trying to get my house and garden winter-ready, racing against the time and weather...so, a getaway was a welcomed chance to stop and breathe in fresh autumn air...Here are a few snapshots, so you can take a journey to New Forest too. It's a remarkable place to visit, but mostly for outdoors, so have to have appropriate weather...I certainly returned home determined to go back there again...
