Unplanned Wonders
Mon Jul 04 2005

You know, it’s funny how sometimes things happens just the way you’d like them to happened, only you didn’t realised it you did, not until they’ve happened.

We‘ve planned a few things this weekend - to visit Glastonbury on one day, then on another – to go to Avebury as well. But it happened so that when we were in Glastonbury on Saturday, we just couldn’t stop exploring the area and so we’ve found some road-side farm and asked if we can stay overnight, so that we won't need to drive long way back home only to drive long way back next morning to see more of the wonders on offer. And so we've stayed in bed&breakfast overnight.

Don’t you just love it – when unplanned things happened so wonderfully?! It was so worth it that we stayed! Next day instead of getting up really really early to drive about 2 or more hours, we were able to enjoy a really fantastic day in Somerset, visited an ancient caves and by pure accident have discovered a true gem - an old English town, which we would never heard of if not passing it through on our way somewhere else. And we still managed to get to the Stones in Avebury too!

We returned home late evening yesterday. Dead tired, but happy. Once I’ll get my pictures sorted, I’ll be posting another backwards entries to share the experience.

Happy Independence Day to all those who celebrate it.

Lana there is so much beauty and historical wonder in this gorgeous site what a beautiful haven

thankyou for your beautiful post I would love to hear about these historical celebrations

imagine this I just celebrated canadas 138 th birthday that is only two lifetimes long I envy your sense of history but I guess I am compensated by the wealth of multiculturalism canadians always seem to be looking back to their ancestry but passing on their heritage at the same time to other canadians

    thanks for your visit
