Circularly Obsessed
Thu Jul 13 2006

More on circlings…Yesterday I was simply too tired to discuss the crop circles I’ve seen so far. Having been at work all day (and actually, even worse then work – I was on the 3-days courses, which is if you’d ask my personal preference, I’d rather do something useful in the office then challenge myself to the knowledge of something I might never need). Anyway, according to the rumours and fast-fact-finding (Google is my friend, as always), there are few crop circles around the area where we live, two of them in as close as 30 min drive. Naturally, it’ll be a shame to miss such phenomena. So for the last two days, having come home from work, we would take off for the whole evening to see the wonder with our own eyes…

First circle we saw was at the Uffington Castle Hill. This hill is famous for the chalk horse shape engraved on the top of her. The White Horse itself is quite an interesting and somewhat controversial ancient monument, linked to the legend of St.George slaughtering the Dragon. I won’t go into description of this place, but rather give a link for those who interested.

And while we are on a topic of ancient monuments, I’d mention Wayland’s Smithy as well – another place we went to yesterday, since there was another crop circle nearby as well. Again, Wayland’s Smithy is another ancient site, where according to the legend, Wayland (Volund) - Saxon god of blacksmiths (or elf, to some opinions), still works his magic up to our days. I let you judge for yourself whether to believe this or not. I’d only say that every time we visit this place, there is that feeling as if someone is hiding inside the stone caves…but then again, it might be simply my perceptions and a bit of imagination running out of hands

Anyway, all the fuss was about crop circles and who makes them and how and, the most important – why. Is this a message for humankind? If so, what does it say? Is it to warn us of something horrible is coming? Or is it to make us aware we are not alone in the universe? Could it be some “portals” – the places where some advance race “leaps through” when travelling in time or space or dimensions? There are so many theories indeed. And while I’m familiar with most of them, I wouldn’t bother discuss any. Mainly because personally I haven’t found yet the one that satisfies my logic. But the phenomena itself is such an intriguing sight to see, that when they appear in a reachable distance, I didn’t hesitate a moment to go and see it “in live”.

Did I feel anything “unusual” when I walked inside the circle? Did I feel / sense / touch any energy stream or vortex? When I was sitting there, in the middle of a segment with the most unusual wheat-pattern, did any images come to my mind or did I hear eerie whispers or anything that falls out of human being perceptions? Not really. The only thing that I can say after I saw the Circles, that I cannot imagine the way this could be done overnight by humans with the help of human-known tools and with such a precise match to the design. The origin and purpose of the circles I’d leave for everyone’s own opinion.

thank you for your elaborate comment on my diary. i loved it. you inspire me a lot. your quest and your conquests. you instilled in me a hope that i still can. who knows one day we will meet?

you mean those circles are a phenomena? meaning they weren't man-made at all? i thought they were. if not humans, then this must be a part of world's wonders.

    :)

Those circles are utterly fascinating. The one you posted today looks to be a modern design.

Do these circles just show up and then just go away, or do they disappear with the wheat harvest? Or is the wheat harvested in a way that preserves the circles?

England is an interesting place, and I fully expect to visit someday.

    Shalom

    lovely lana
just cant help but linger in this beautiful journal
you know god to me is love and light and in the strict sense of the word that makes me an atheist
I have never had angels appear to me
and I have never seen a ghost and I will not therefore believe in such things unless I experience them or science instructs me

I believe in extra sensorry perception because I experience it all the time

now these circles are beautiful but I dont have any problems believing that engineers could carve these in an open field overnight where no one is around to hear the cutters
there is beautiful landscape art and why not this

we can dream all we want but until evidence is produced this diminishes the appreciation of the design to add this trespassor of science fiction

like you said lovely lana you did not feel any strange vibrations hee hee and because of this your mind wasnt deprived of full appreciation of the design hee hee
you may have missed something beautiful while you were serving tea to the martians ha ha
please note I have wolverine eyes now what I mean by this is that my eyes are greenish yellow

and then ofcourse there are metaphors
sigh well do they need justification
