My dad built for me a gazeebo. we started with the simple drafts for simple covered place...the gazeebo took up a life of its own in the process of designing and building...eventually it turned into a nice tranquil space...a piece of Zen in my very own garden. What we would do without those who give us all the love they can give! And then they give us some more. I just want to make sure I gave him his dues. and my big thank you. I love you, dad.

- From:Razzenne (Legacy)On:Tue Sep 26 2006beautiful Lana this is simply divine
it is a very sacred place since your father poured all his creative expression and love into the construction
there is something zen about it there really is something sacred and beautiful about the eastern philosophy and meditation that has passed western civilization by and I think that may be because of the materialism of the western world
although we can reach the sublime but western materialism and a culture of ownership will always get in the way somehow
I was studying chinese calligraphy the other night and it really did open so many windows for me spiritually so much sacred meaning in every character
it was so cool because it reminded me a bit of my abstract calligraph
oh well Im a western slacker and you really cant have it all but there is nothing like trying ha ha

Your dad is good with his hands..
My dad too.. he built a tool shed that looks like a doll house.. and the neighbor wanted to patent my dad's original design and produce them for sale.. My dad declined.. :0
