- Everything is okay in our pond...(no punt intended) our place is way out of the flood plain. My work is affected though - office closed and there is no access to the building unless you are driving a submarine ;-)

And if somebody curious how Oxford-On-Sea might look like nowadays, there is a good selection of views here
We are working temporarily in the city centre of Oxford. I miss the comfort of my own desk, and travel to work takes anything around 2 hours one way (15 miles!) But other then that...we are optimistic…And the worst they said is over (with more torrential rain forecasts for weekend, yeah right) But hey! - the best thing – we can still laugh in the face of the situation…
A remark from the internal discussion lists:
-There's fish in our garden! Mabel thought she saw a shark but it turned out to be a plastic bag. Lets hope nobody had any piranhas in their garden pond!
Speaking of the fishponds…we have one in front of our office. With a flock of gold fish. Now as the waters rise to the edge of a pond, we are wondering how long it will take for a fish to figure out it can now swim outside of the pond?! It may even grab a chance and head for the sea, who knows…even fishes can be adventurous sometimes ;-)
