It feels like it’s only happened yesterday…4 years ago I wrote in my diary about fledging leaving the nest – my son went off to University. It took a while to get used to the idea that my little boy is no longer little and no longer within my reach…and now it is another stepping stone passed...Too many thoughts were in my head on that day…too many questions I asked myself and not to all I could find the answers...and being sentimental as I am... there have been few moments when the tears were too close to the surface…but the happiness for the son is what keeps this mum strong. And perhaps in the crowd of happy families and friends and relatives I was just One Mum out there, but I sure was One Very Proud Mum.
