Weak Ends Of London
Mon Feb 11 2008

The evil purpose of our kids is to remind us how old we are. My “Little Boy” is that age when I can say: “When I was your age…” well, when I was his age, actually I had a 4 years old son…so when I’m getting that sentimental, my son usually responds with his usual joke: well, if “someone” was stupid at such age, that doesn’t mean I have to be stupid too… fair enough…I’m glad that at least some one in this family has got common sense…

Anyway, today is my son’s 23rd birthday and this thought brings a smile into my day. When we look at our achievements in life our kids are the main. I want to say that I’m so very happy that my son is the way he is. And I am so proud that he turned out to be kind, sensible, responsible and very realistic young man. And I love him to bits. Such a softy mommy I am

He came over at weekend and we went to London to see Spamalot. Then we had a nice meal in Chinese restaurant and afterwards took a boat on Thames…I must be very picky, but I have to admit I didn’t particular like Spamalot. I was familiar with the plot well before and I had many of the songs from the musical on my ipod. But although the performance has been good, the storyline was lacking sophistication to my taste. I found some of the jokes rather cheap and not intelligent. However, this didn’t spoil the evening for me and Mike liked it a lot anyway, which is the most important thing, isn’t it?

After the show we walked around Chinatown area. It was all so festive left from the recent celebrations of Chinese New Year. It was also overcrowded, but you have to expect this for the Saturday night.

We topped up our day in London with the boat trip on Thames. It was dark; it was chilly, but wonderful nevertheless. We just bought tickets to the final stop of the boat, wherever it is. It turned out to be the Millennium Dome stop and at night it looked cool like a spaceship and we were the astronauts walking to board it…LOL…

On Sunday I took Mike back to Bristol and we visited my favourite stones on our way. The weather was perfect for getting in touch with the Nature’s Energy.

Ok…hmm…that was my weekend told in activities terms. As for the rest of senses…well, there hardly have been any. But that’s what my life has become anyway – A Life that Makes No Sense.

A Positive Thought:
Do not put a lot of effort into judging whether today is good or bad, happy or sad. Just go ahead and live it with a thankful heart, and you will surely experience this day's
own special value.

In the second set of pictures, the picture on the right looks like the Star Gate in the scifi TV program Stargate: SG1.

Your son sounds like a lovely young man. You have a right to be proud.

Happy new year to your son..

Your son is your pride and joy.. and he is who he is.. because you were a good mom

Glad you had a fun weekend.. .. Ours was wonderful too .. I mean it..
finally the skies brightened.. the sun came out and it warmed up to probably 10 deg F above freezing.. which it has been below (in teens F) for so long.. it felt like spring.. I was running round in a hoody (zippered sweat shirt with hood)
the stars came out and sparkled at night..instead of just a gray sky...
oh it makes me so spring fever.. I can't stand it.. wonderful weekend..
