We are ok here, of course. Too far from London to be affected. That doesn’t mean that we are not. Watching morning reports, can’t help but feel that treacherous fear. Of unknown. Of what if this is only The Beginning. And it is not necessary the beginning of the end for London, or was for Madrid, or for New York, Bali, Beslan, many many other places…But how on earth did we managed to create a monster?..Well, there are few possible answers to this question, yet I'm not going to mention. Not now at least. And not here. There is no point to blame one single person or another. For those who actually did detonate the bombs, they are not worthy their “fame”. They were just paws in somebody’s too clever hand. The real Players are still on the loose. And they don’t care if those who died were innocent civilians. In a Big Game lives are counted by millions, not dozens and a loss of a few doesn’t really change a thing.
Look at the scheme of explosions. They almost form a circle. Clever thinking behind the plan: to cut off central part of a city, to spike fear into people. For a whole day London has been paralyzed. And it is unknown for how long it will remain like this.
Light the candles…remember those whose journey this morning happened to be the last…Honour remarkable work of police officers, fire brigades, paramedics, all who were there. Pay respect to the coordinators of the rescue works. There was no panic in London today. There was determination to carry on into normal day as much as possible. If possible at all.
Our guests were heading towards London this morning when the news came down of the explosions. We managed to have a few words on mobile before the connection was broken – the telephone lines in London were hopelessly jammed. It took them a while to find a way back in the unclarity of cancelled trains, suspended bus services and general confusion. But they were OK in the end…
A sister of one of our technicians lives in London, in a flat with a view on one of those blasted station. It took him 3.5 hours to get through to her number to make sure she is ok. She told him, that police blocked the area, the pavements, everything. They didn’t even allow her to walk around the corner to the shop in order to get food. They ask her to stay home for a while. But at least she was OK.
How many are there, that are not ok and never will be ok any more?...How many loved ones are missing?...How many are now crying for them? How to make their pain lesser?
