Slow weekend of leisurely labours and easy walks…What can I say about it? Perhaps, if there is nothing much to remember, there is no need to record…we marked the summer end by clearing our garden. The grass is mowed, the tree is trimmed, the roses cut and the peach tree sprayed with some chemical potion that promises to keep it healthy over winter times…I hope there will be no need to do any garden work till spring time now. I like my garden all tucked up for a winter sleep.
I wanted to find out if the autumn has come in our woods already…I’m so anxious for her to be…Just can’t wait…I took in-laws in Harcourt Arboretum. It is just a woodland, a part of University botanical collection, some 6 miles from Oxford. It was a beautiful walk, but then again I’d say about any walk it’s beautiful, if it’s an unspoilt nature visit. The Autumn is just about so near, not yet, but she did send ahead her Heralds. In their hurry they’ve managed to spill few drops of paint onto Acers, accidentally pick off few leaves and drop them on the ground…from where I’ve adopted them for their beauty…The Autumn is not here yet and I will try once more to meet her later in October…the walk was beautiful anyway…the place – magical…and that’s – the memories of today:
Few times I’ve tried to write something meaningful…and every time stopped somewhere in the middle of a phrase…of a word…feeling too short of a words that would satisfy me as a speaker. And when we dissatisfied with what we going to say, it is better not to say a thing…words that we say now and next…do they matter? Sometimes in now we say words just for the sake of saying, nothing more. For the reason of bringing smile, creating mood, painting particular picture…not all the words should hold meanings, expectations, anticipation of the next to come…and if you ask me what next, I would most certainly say: I don’t know…Perhaps, I should wait until the moment when the words will magically appear by themselves...or maybe it should be whatever you will see in your own imagination...
