At War
I’m at war. And this is a war with my time. And it feels like he’s winning over. So I’m loosing. Loosing time that is. As in "can’t find him". So I’m getting behind with my days now. Just to confuse everybody, all today’s entries are – yesterday’s. I thought them yesterday. And wrote today. I have DD log of backlog. BackDDlog

Drink-o-drive
Yesterday was “don’t bring your car to work with you” day. But I forgot of it of course. The reason for “don’t” was that we had an office outing in the evening due to someone leaving and someone’s been working with us for the last 30 years. So the choice was: drink or drive. My choice by chance happened to be the drive one. Because I forgot to come by train. Duh! I think it’s age – loss of memory, next will be loss of mind, etc etc…nevertheless the evening was a good one. The place was nice, the food expensive and the big wall clock was broken and had its hour and minute arrows stuck together, which created a surreal experience of time shifting over the course of the evening. That amused my slightly drunk colleagues a lot. It was nice and we laughed and generally enjoyed the whole thing.

Non-complicated affair
I’m reminded how in 2004 I’ve met someone on line, who actually lives locally in real life. We talk a little, laughed a little, then had a break for about few months, then he would appear in my ICQ again, then - disapear again. And this has been going on for all these couple of years. We would meet on line, chat a bit then run away in different directions, just another acquaintance of mine. He was the guy with the funniest pick up line I’ve ever heard. I even had an entry about it back then: “if you ever want non-complicated affair – give me a call”. That was the line. I remember a comment left by my friend to this entry: “there is no such thing as “non-complicated” affair by definition”. I wasn’t interested in his offer, so we just stuck with being on line friends. Well, it turned out that this guy is currently in the divorce process. He appeared on my ICQ horizons few days ago, informing of his news. Apparently, his wife discovered some “e-mails”, as he told me, which made a good base for filing the divorce…opsss…so the comment in my diary turned out to be right to the point. There is no such thing as non-complicated affair. Ever.

Oh, honestly!
This one transpired from my past as well. Just since I’ve been thinking about on line chatting, etc. For well forgotten for me reasons I had a subscription to the site called “friendster” I truly can’t remember why, I can take a guess that in 2004 I’ve been looking for friends in much more bizarre places then now. Anyway, since I’ve registered there for the first time and set up profile, any next e-mail coming from there has been happily re-directed to the deleted items in my mail box. I just couldn’t bother even to open them, again, can’t remember why. So few weeks ago I was clearing my mail subscriptions and decided to get rid of this one. After about 15 min of heavy password hacking (literally, coz I don’t remember passwords I do not use) I’ve managed to get in…oh boy, the inbox for messages was full of all sorts of offers, dated back to 2004 as well. So I’ve deleted the old ones straight away without looking and decided to open few latest to see what’s the current climate in on line friendship. Some of the messages were particular ambiguous, the rest – plain rubbish. So I went to check what in my profile makes others want to message me. Hmmmm…couldn’t really see anything specifically interesting…so I’ve decided to do a test, if anyone actually reads the profile information before sending random message. I’ve changed description to “ I’m fat, old and mean. And I don’t like single&looking.” Guess what: not a single message ever since! Oh, honestly! Do all those people who “look for friendship” on the net truly believe that only 22 years old smart blonds post their profiles??? C’mmon, I’m pretty sure that none of those who contacted me before were particularly fashion models themselves. Some people…phrrrrr…[~makes a funny face at all such people]
