So…well...it is often happens that when you haven’t got much expectations, things intend to turn out pretty well anyway…
Yesterday’s office party was all right…wasn’t in the office, actually, but in uni club…nice modern place…disco next door…noise, music…yummy food…candles on the tables…silly tooters (which we, of course, used as often as we could)…
The Boss was cute…the Speech was dreadfully boring, as expected…people generally cheerful and some people I’ve never seen before…
We’ve created a small company at one of the tables. A Company of Giggles, Mingles and Mischief’s. So our corner of the restaurant wasn’t particular quiet…and no wonder that by the end of the evening everyone capable of walking moved over to our table…And we laughed even more… we talked, we laughed…we laughed when next door party switched off their music and gone…we laughed when the restaurant staff cleaned all the other tables in there…took them away…dimmed the lights…there was still some wine on our table left …and we still laughed…we laughed when one of the restaurant managers came over to us and ask when are we going to leave…Boss asked him back: “what time do you close?” - “half-hour ago”…it was 5 min to midnight…[oh-oh]
It was an OK evening. Despite of me being a designated driver, I still had pleasant time…you can’t predict what kind of things one could hear, when one is the only sober among the drunken colleagues…[~still blushing, recalling things that being said and done]
Gave Boss a lift … to the office …he was so determined to use his bicycle to get home from there, he refused me to deliver him and his bike to his wife, saying that she would be worried, if I did so (?!) LOL…Finally got home by 1am, dragging with me another colleague of mine to stay with us overnight…It was a good night after all…
And it was natural to do anything except work today, suffering from afterparty syndrome. (not me, but why would I want to be different from everybody else? ;-) )
So today was an office Christmas decoration day for us here…
...boring...
