Few thoughts that is
I’ve been thinking recently…(and this is not always a good thing – when I start to think, things I’d think of could get way out of unthinkable limits)…anyway...you’ve been warned…

Places.
I’ve been writing a lot about historical places recently. Not because my journal dedicated to my travels. But simply because I just happened to travel with my guests a lot recently. I don’t normally do it that far and that often. And it is more likely, that when the summer ends, so will my travels. And the slumber of a winter will make my entries less entertaining and colourful…but before that it’ll be Fall. And Fall is my favourite season. Season of changes, of fallen leaves, of heaven’s tears – endless rains, of poetry and soft guitar music…can I say that I miss the Fall?

I’ve been thinking of the Places. As in Places We Exist. As in – cities, villages, woods, rivers, etc…I’ve been visiting a lot of different places recently, I hope to see even more in a future. Each of those I’ve seen, is a place of history, or of beauty, or of tranquillity, or of fun…and it doesn’t really matter if it is an ancient or modern, does it? One can see wonders in their own Place, you just need to open your eyes and look around. I might be becoming too sentimental or too anyotherwordtocall…but I love to see just trees, just fields, just lake or just river. You can see them, like – “notice”, they exist and you can See them like – walk around and find a viewing angle that amazes you so that you’d stop in disbelief of picture perfect. It is nice and educating to stand on the grounds of something famous, historical, well-known. But it is nothing compare to be in a forest, talk to the trees, walk across the endless golden fields or wobble feet in a chilling stream of mountain river…

There are always wonders in Nature. Not man-made, but the most perfect of all creations. And without history there are still a lot to love, a lot to explore, a lot to share. In my country of origin, although there is History there, I still think the main treasure of her is the endless richness of the majestic landscape that she has to offer. If I were to tell you about Russia, I will be talking about pines and birches, fields of pristine snow, blue eyes of her lakes conceived in the secret wilderness of her woods…of course there is a history to her, but to me My Places are – where I feel the most In Peace.

Don’t say your country is too young to have history - it might be that the most gorgeous scenery in the world is just around your corner. Can you notice it? Can you share?

Forgiveness
How easy we forgive others? How easy is to give a smile to those who made you cry? What does our forgiveness based on: integrity, kindness, compassion, love? This is not a question I know answer to. I noticed that with time I become more forgiving that I ever thought I would be. And I suspect this is a good thing :-)

Politics
Some time ago I made a promise to myself do not speak of politics, since I believe in what I believe and I don’t think any political debates could really convince me to change my belief, as well as convince the opponents to change theirs. Having tasted “democracy” in a “free democratic” country, I’ve discovered that little it is different from “other democracy” that I’ve been brought up with. Either is farce pretty much.here is some analysis which sounds reasonably logical to me. But then again – what’s the use of any understanding of the issue without willingness to solve the issue? Oh well, Politics is one of a bitch to deal with.

I'm pretty much opposed to Bush on any issue. I dislike the man intensely, and he's an example of what gives Christianity a bad name in many places.

I believe the US and Britain should be on good terms with each other. And that's about as far as I can go with him.

I tried being a political activist, but I found that if you're not "someone" and have a lot of money, you don't have any influence. However, that hasn't stopped me from voting and/or declaring my opposition or support of issues. Politicians are what's wrong with this country.

OK, yes, we have some gorgeous, unbelievably beautiful places in this country. But the history, the traditions of centuries aren't here. After all, we're not even 300 years old yet. In terms of civilization, we're still brats.

    Shalom

hello Lana canada does have the most beautiful scenery of the world you cant beat the majesty of the rockie mountains the rejuvenating lakes and endless rolling of golden prairie wheat fields
but hey this isnt a competition england does have tremendous beauty also

every day I am out at the urban valley the best of two worlds hee hee and my visits are religious and meditative the sky vision helps me get centered last night I saw the strength of the majesty of a huge magnificent poplar juxtaposed with the ephemeral wisps of twilight sky and I felt the strength in fragility and how life strives to preserve itself
these visits to bathe in the skylight are spiritual renewal and cleansing

when I said we didnt have history what I meant was canada is so young that we are always looking across the seas to our ancestry but I think we are rich in multicultural gifts because of this

actually Lana while we are on the subject I would like to let you know that my current blogging status is once a week I wont be at the computer libraries if I have any writing to do I am going to write at the valley with a notepad he ha
the summer sky is calling stronger than ever
have some gorgeous glorious days until then

glad things are going well for you
