Random Weekly
Fri Mar 30 2007

I’ve got a pile of random thoughts that lies thrown in the corner of my mind…the idea was to make a note of them as they come&go… the reality, however, didn’t allowed for such luxury. And be it a lack of time or a lack of motivation or lack of writing skills, I never got around to it…until tonight…and by tonight some ideas are seen in a different spotlight and others just evaporated as if have never been there…so what’s left…a collection of very random thoughts inspired by my observation, by my thought process or by the conversations with other people I happened to meet this week…

Is there such thing as male imagination?
I am not saying that men don’t have enough of imagination. I notice that when joined in fantasy, women tend to lead and men – to follow… is it because the range of women’s imagination is wider then the one of men’s? Or is it because in general sense women expected to be “proper”, so when she speaks openly expressing her “not so proper” imagination, that is the allure by itself. And so man would prefer a woman expressing not because her fantasy is more “saturated”, but merely because of the fact that she is sharing such a thing candidly? Would it make a difference to a man, if a woman would tell him a dime-novel story or if she would just reiterate for half-hour “i’ve got big boobs”?

Attention tension
Some days ago I walked into our server room to attend one of my baby-servers. There are quite a few of them, but I know them well, can find each one with the closed eyes. So I went to the server room, did what required from me and went back to the office. Later over coffee my colleagues were discussing a new server being delivered. And they asked me if I saw it. And I said NO…because I haven’t seen anything new in the room. I was the joke of the day that day: apparently, new server is a HUGE (really big) box, hard to miss, but most importantly: it was delivered and installed with the server rack. [FYI: server rack is not a tiny thing at all, as it supposed to house a PACK of servers]…

and it was there, right under my nose and I didn’t notice it!..they joked that if sysadmin can’t see the servers, it is time for advertise a job… LOL…and as I re-winded an hour that I’ve spent in that room, I realised that I DID NOT SEE  that rack with a server, no matter how I try to concentrate on the object in the room! I suddenly thought: our attention is so selective: we can miss an elephant when looking for the mouse…no wonder we tend to miss on the very important things that might affect our life. Not because we short-sighted, but because when we are in a place we know well, we do not concentrate on what’s around us, assuming the around is a invariable…

Books uncovered
I’ve been to secondhand bookstore earlier this week. And bought few books…(this is kind of store where you can never escape without paying a ransom – I avoid to go there too often) I finally found the Ender’s series. I’ve read them centuries ago, but I have my own way of reading books: I do it from the library. And only buy those that feels like I’ll be reading it again…and poetry books. you can't have poetry on library loan - you never know the moment when you'd feel that sudden urge to read few rhymes...so my luck put in my hands two books of Orson Card, my favourite... and I also came across a sequel to the Tao Of The Pooh (this one I’ve got from few years ago) The Te Of Piglet. I have to say the first one was a hit with me. the second…I can’t make an opinion on it and also I can not finish it…which means – I maybe won’t like it when finish…the interest of the book is always pro rata to the speed we read it. If it’s too long – it is too boring to me. so although I do like few of wisdoms from The Te, I don’t see it having the same success as The Tao…

Memory leak
This is about my own. I wanted to type in more bollocks from Benton’s Little Book of Management, but I forgot the book in the office…duh! So no more bollocks today other then mine ;-)

Questions with no answers
Can one be too practical to have dreams? Does being practical helps to have a “realistic” dream? Is realistic dream a short version of a “full scale” dream or is it completely “independent” unrelated dream? Do we have a “capacity index” that tells how many big dreams we can afford? Do they count realistic ones too? And finally: how to know that the dream you have is practical and realistic if you haven’t been given the manual?

    beautiful lana
if you say I have big boobs and a nice hungry pussy then that would be the same as telling a dime store novel you would have to add the pussy part meow meow lol

men are socialized to be practical and rational more so than women and to be imaginative and use the intuitive side of your personality isnt to be practical perhaps then hey lol but actually it is not funny

Do men have an imagination? Yes, but it's pretty limited.

Dreams? I *hope* they're not limited.
