Ok, it looks like it is not in the stars for me to start my travelogue this week. I keep finding more and more other things to say about the today and the now…this time it is nothing of serious matters or importance, but hey, this Friday’s almost over and it was a hard working week for me and finally my eyes start to see some light in the end of this tunnel.
And look what we discovered yesterday right above our office! Isn’t it magical?!
I’ve also decided to make this Friday light and easy and post few laughs for the ThanksGodIt’sFriday reason.
The story has got not as much laugh, actually, but it is all depends on the side you are looking at it, isn’t it? The sad story of the household appliances vs us and how one can always look at the bright side of life with the help of some wonderfully supportive colleagues. In brief. Somewhat more then a year ago we’ve bought a sofa… A leather sofa. All my colleagues of course have always been active participants in any of my household big events. We do share such things as painful process of choosing curtains for living room or buying furniture or other interestingly dull stuff…
Anyway, the leather sofa story had a sequel to it – after I bought a sofa I started to hunt for a…piece of leather in matching color to make a matching shelf to go with it….anyway, that’s not important as much as enthusiasm of all my colleagues in helping me to choose the correct pattern, color and whatever else…naturally …(“naturally”???!!! ) eventually we become a legend – me and my “leather fetish”…just enough to spice a joke from time to time. (oh that weird sense of humour in IT department) ok…now when you know the background, you can easily imagine the excitement of everyone here when last month I’ve announced that I’ve bought a bed….a leather bed. Now, you have to trust me that it was pure coincidence and not intention! I WAS NOT looking for leather bed specifically. It’s just happened that the model I’ve choosen, they don’t do those in other materials…
Are you laughing already? Well, hold on, coz this is not the end of a story yet. Few days ago our fridge died…(condolences accepted), so today in the office we discussed at lunch what are we gonna do over weekend, like we always do on Friday’s…and I said: I’ll be fridge-hunting. Coz that’s what I’m gonna do. My kind and thoughtful colleagues reacted in their own special and caring way to the news. And I’m gonna put up the pic of this coz honestly, it made my day and maybe even compensated my whole week for all the slave labour and the lack of laughter…help yourself to a piece of laugh too :
Have a great weekend, full of laughter, everybody!
