It is 40F this morning! I had to turn the furnace back on when the house was at 62F after work. It looks like the sun might shine today, which would be nice.

My tablet won't turn on this morning. It is not ideal reading the paper on the 8"tablet. But trying to read it on my phone was ridiculous! I hope I can get the tablet working. I was looking to get a new eReader. I wasn't prepared to get a tablet too. Maybe I get a small android eReader that serves both purposes and can carry back and forth to the bedroom everyday?

Yesterday's review went well. She already knew about the wage freeze so that helped me break the news. Today's review will be twice as long, because this one won't shut up while yesterday's is like pulling teeth trying to get her to talk.

I have been going back and forth with Chuck & Don's pet supplies customer service for 3 days. Apparently they merged with another company and it wants customers to re-set their passwords. But the reset link arrives 4 hours after requesting it and has expired. Yesterday they said they sent me a link, but it never arrived. What a joke. I won't be doing business with them anymore. I just wanted the unrelenting marketing emails to stop!!

Added two new birds to my list today: a red-eyed vireo (which I have been hearing for years but could never find in my binoculars) and a Nashville warbler. Also saw a Northern Yellow warbler and an American Redstart this morning among other regulars. The woods were teeming with birds this morning! And in places along the walk, the air held a spicy fragrance. I'm expecting ducklings of all varieties very soon, as there have been very few duck sightings recently. Even the geese are less annoying. Mrs Trumpeter Swan continues to sit patiently on the nest.
