Poopy Day 5

It's nice to see a few more people posting publicly. I like reading about other people's adventures and lives. But I also understand how posting for the entire world wide web is daunting vs posting only for followers or members only. I don’t really like posting for the entire world to see either. But I don't know how else to be invited into someone's online life. I'm going to follow all these recent public posters though, just in case they typically post for followers only.

Woke up to day 5 of the now familiar scent of dog poo and Nature's Miracle that has overtaken my house. Despite my getting up at 1am and letting him out, and again at 5:30am, but I was too late. The poopy towel is outside but the smell remains. Oh, how i wish I could open the windows and air the place out!! My neighbors offered me some puppy pads to protect my rug that they had leftover from a previous pet. That was nice of them.

It remained mostly cloudy throughout the day yesterday, so even though it got up to the upper 90s, it didn't feel so bad. Until the sun peeked through, and then it was kind of blistering lol! I drove to the store after work and didn't need to turn on the car AC. I can tolerate the heat and humidity pretty well. And it makes my skin and hair feel good. And it reminds me of being at the beach in NC in July. One of few places that brings me true happiness. When it is hot like this, I close my eyes and I am there again.

I clocked into work yesterday to a message from my manager asking me if my team was clocking out if they didn't have any work to do. I didn't know that was a thing. Did I get left out of a discussion yet again? So I responded that I have to trust they are telling me the truth that they have stuff to work on, but if they are to clock out, was she suggesting this be unpaid time or should they be using vacation time if they have it? And I mentioned how she talked of moving our admin to a different dept and when/if that happens, it would increase our workload. And I offered our dept to pick up some work from an understaffed dept. No response yet.

This stuff I got for dog's diarrhea has kaolin and pectate in it. Which I imagine the anti-diarrheal Kaopectate was named after, right?? But Kaopectate no longer contains either ingredient because it was found to be ineffective for humans. I kind of feel I was sold a placebo for dog, but we'll see. This vet is not very good at following up either. They were supposed to email me rehoming resources, which they didn't. Last time I was there, they forgot to email me the dog's vaccine records.

I forgot to post this pic from my ride on Sunday. I saw it adjacent to the trail and turned around to see if it was indeed a tombstone. After I saw what it was, I recalled reading about it in the newspaper when the marker first went up. You'd never have known it existed if not for the marker, because it is just a weedy overgrown piece of land next to what used to be railroad tracks.

I'm happy to see ICE is finally going after the worst of the worst criminals, like the Catholic nun on her way to church on Sunday. She probably rapped the knuckles with a ruler of one too many school children. Good for them, getting those despicable Christian immigrants off our streets! (Sarcasm abounds.)

My new tablet is working quite well! It's so speedy! I really should switch over to writing my entries from it, rather than my phone. I'm just such a creature of habit in the morning, do things in the same order and on the same devices every day.

Ordered a coloring tablecloth commemorating the semiquincentennial for the kids to color, along with some 250th tattoos and some sticker cards. I thought the tablecloth would be a fun something to fold away when done and could be pulled out at the 300th by someone.

It's raining right now...not sure if I'll get a walk in.

when I first found DearDiary, it was the very idea of writing into the widest audience, but no one who knows me personally - now that is a liberating motivation! I can say whatever and write whatever and nobody will be judging me on that.

personally, to me this was and still is a place where I feel I can say anything I have to say without second thought. and that's why DDLand is awesome - it gives you that level of freedom you may never have in your reality...

Take it all in, enjoy it...
