It rained yesterday. And rained and rained. I think the only break in the rain was when I took my walk in the morning. By 5pm, we'd received 1.5" of rain. I don't understand what people like about rainy days. I mean, they're dark and gloomy, and if you go outside, you get wet and cold. Nothing enjoyable there. And yet, I keep seeing people write about how they love rainy days. Ugh.

Work was slow and boring and I don't know how much more of this humdrum I can take. But I need the health insurance and the income, and so I keep my mouth shut and carry on. I do have to work on two employee reviews for the end of May, but that is the absolute worst part of my job! I hate managerial duties. And I hate being a manager ever since I realized I earn the same as the rest of my team who have been with the company fewer years than I and have less responsibilities. Something clicked last summer upon this discovery that my manager tried to conceal from me, and it won't reset. And I have every right to be resentful.

After dinner, I climbed into bed and read my book for an hour and a half. Almost finished with it, although I had to renew it for the THIRD time! I think I have about 15% left.Tonight I hope to speak with middle child. We've been trying for over a week, I either miss his text or am out and about, or he is working when I am free.

Just another dull day. At least the sun is shining.
