Too Many Bills

Oof, I feel like I got hit by a bus this morning. I know I did a lot of tossing and turning all night and when the alarm went off I was so dead asleep that it took me awhile to figure out what the sound was before I could turn it off.

I was overwhelmed with bills last evening. Two came in the mail. A bunch more came in email over the weekend. I spent 45 minutes getting them all paid. City utilities, 6-mo car insurance, vacation resort, honey's and my elec/gas, car registration, clinic (from when I fell on the ice in March). When it rains, it pours. I am $1400 poorer in just 45 minutes. 45 minutes I would rather have spent riding my bike. I did ride over to the ATM to get vacation cash, but that hardly counts as a bike ride.

I also set up the mail hold for this house, using a different email because my regular email is associated with honey's house. So I put vacation holds on both addresses now. And it stresses me out that I am doing all this, that honey just pleads technotard when it comes to bills or anything else, leaving me to carry the weight of two.

I was just very stressed out about it for the rest of the evening. I hope today goes differently.

I did print out the vacation-packing checklist, and started staging stuff in the extra bedroom. I'm stressed about that too, because I feel we're just going to be driving closer to the smoke and fires and it's going to ruin the vacation. That I just paid for.

I'm probably just tired. Yesterday I got up at 4am, worked all day, did all that other 'work' and didn't have any happy time.

This morning felt cold after days of high humidity and high heat. The wind is out of the north and the high temp should 'only' be 80F. That's my perfect day temperature. So I WILL take a bike ride after work, no matter what.

Friendliness is contagious. I think everyone should catch it.
