Storm Chasing

Oh man. I feel like I got hit by a bus. (Which reminds me, I almost did get hit by a bus on Sunday when the bus driver made no attempt to slow down or stop at the trail crosswalk where I'd activated the flashing signal.) The alarm was going off this morning and I couldn't believe it. It took me over a minute to get moving and turn the alarm off. (Having a bird sound alarm makes it less annoying.)

The reason why I feel like this is because I had to race a storm yesterday. When I left on a bike ride after dinner it was sunny, but when I was 5 miles from home, the sky was dark to the west and moving my way. I kicked up my pace and went as fast as I could muster to get home before the storm hit. I made it...with 10 minutes to spare. This is how it looked just as I approached my neighborhood. But oh, was my body exhausted! That is the hardest I've biked since I started riding again. When I got home, I compared the route I took to a May ride of the same route and had shaved 15 minutes off. As honey pointed out, those 15 minutes came off the second 5 miles of the 10 mi ride though, which I hadn't thought about.

I think someone is using my address to commit some kind of fraud. First I received a small Amazon package (that I reported) with their name but my address. I didn't think much of it because I've had that happen once before. But yesterday it was a first class letter from Philadelphia addressed to the same person as the amazon package, which I have sent back as "return to sender addressee unknown."

I already have credit freezes in place so no one can apply for loans/cards in my name. Honey said there was something called title fraud, so I checked property records, and everything seems fine. I just don’t know where this is headed. I googled the name and there is a supposed realtor in the area with the same name, so I'm wondering if it is a phishing thing. I am not reaching out to them to find out. Really weird. But I will be more diligent in monitoring things.

The missing info mystery at work continues. I am really annoyed, because IT needs to be hand-fed everything. I've told them what I've found, now it's up to them to dig deeper I would think. But they are expecting me to do more digging for them and explain what is going on. Hey, pay me as much as IT and I will. I'm not sure what they actually do, but digital forensics is not one of those things. Again, why they think a dietetics and poli-sci major should do the work for them is beyond me.

I WILL NOT be having honey mustard on my kale/cabbage. It was baaaaadddd. So much so that I ended up dumping it in the food scraps yesterday. Fortunately I only mix up a serving each morning, so I'll have to come up with something else for the remaining salads for the rest of the week.

No walk this morning because it is drizzly and windy, which is fine. Because I feel like I've been hit by a bus. I'll just do stretches.
