We had frost this morning! Unbelievable.

Started listening to, but couldn't finish, Mecca by Susan Straight. Too much detail, so much 'background' information, that after 2 hours in, I still didn't know what the storyline was. Life is too short to finish a bad book.

I put out the grape jelly feeder on Monday, hoping to attract Orioles. Day 1, no visitors. Day 2, a pair of house finches. Day 3 the pair of finches plus one male cardinal. What will Day 4 bring?

I woke at 4am thinking it was time to get up, but was able to get back to sleep, only to have a bad dream about multiple tornadoes and me running from house to house to warn people and to tell them to seek shelter. Which I suppose was triggered by how I felt yesterday and the following , which I wrote last evening to purge before bed:

I am so appalled at the Senate Republicans forcing through $1 billion for this ballroom that was supposed to be built with only private contributions. $1 BILLION!! $6 billion a day for the unauthorized war. $100 billion for ICE thugs. Am I the only one who sees the Assahollah is driving the country into bankruptcy, just like all his businesses? Why won't anyone put the breaks on this? Why is there money for these ridiculous things but they are allowing citizens to literally starve to death and to die bcause they can't afford healthcare or simple diabetes medication??? While rural hospitals are closing? Where are the goddamn christian values they claim to hold? WHAT IS IT GOING TO TAKE FOR THE CULT MEMBERS TO ADMIT THEY'VE BEEN DUPED??? How can humans be so evil and disgusting and continue to support this? Add to that the unsupreme court decision to dismantle the 60 year old voting rights act to allow states to gerrymander and prevent equal representation. This country is falling apart at a ridiculously fast rate and it is frightening and there is nothing we can do to slow it down. AND WHEN WILL ALL THE EPSTEIN FILES THAT NAME EVERY RAPIST PEDOPHILE IN THIS ADMINISTRATION AND THE NAMES OF THE PEDOPHILE RAPIST MEGAMILLIONAIRES SUPPORTING THEM BE RELEASED??

I am so overwhelmed right now dealing with one crisis after another that this administration has created. Yes, intentionally, I know, I know. So that we give up and roll over from exhaustion. As I've compared many times to my marriage, it is like living in an emotionally abusive relationship. The weak submit. The strong get out.

And is this the reason I have the Humpty Dumpty nursery rhyme in my head right now? All the kings horses and all the kings men couldn't put humpty together again?
