Could it be true? Will our gov drop out of the race at 11am??? I sure hope so. He has so much baggage, and I know there are quite a few of us who would have plugged our noses and voted for him but even more who wouldn't have voted at all or crossed over or voted for the Independent candidate, giving MAGA the win. I'll be honest, I'd have voted independent. If true, I'm glad he sees now he could lose and give his replacement more time, unlike Biden. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. I'm just glad to see some potentially good news in this new year, as it has been very crappy so far.
Sunday was lowkey. It flew by really fast for some reason. I didn't learn any more about the shots fired, so apparently they were bad at aiming. I have 10% left of Pachinko so I think I'll finish by the due date. We did get a coating of ice, with more expected overnight tonight. It's been a rough winter and we still have 4 months to go! I can see the moon this morning, so hopefully we get enough sun to melt this first round of ice.
Did a deep dive into atheist churches yesterday. Because as I was driving to the food scrap compost site yesterday morning, I started thinking how I'd like to go to a church that was not based on scripture or god and find a community I could relate with. Something that would give me an uplifting weekly message without basing it on god or jesus. There are atheist and humanist organizations, but no communities. Well, there is Secular Assembly which fits what I'm looking for, but there isn't one in my state. I ended up watching a local Unitarian Universalist service online and I'm intrigued. So I watched another service. Very interesting. I remember going to a UU service many years ago and liked it, but the community was very small and just starting out, so i didn't go back. I like to kind of blend in, observe from the side. This community is large. I'm going to watch some more.
I'm going to try to write down at least one beautiful/joy inducing that I witness each day, similar to the picture a day i did during the demented one's first term. So for today:
- The full moon this morning
- The red fox that crossed my path this morning
- The tip of the pink sun rising just above the wetland
- The end of the "holiday" season
- The rumor of the gov
- Possibly finding a community

Oh, I would love to see a red fox. We have foxes, but pretty rare, and they are gray with a little bit of rust and then white bellies. They are also quite small. Writing something that was cheerful or beautiful each day is a great self-care move!
