Folding

Folded small origami baskets last night to put little trinkets I bought the grandkids for the gathering on Saturday morning. I'm not referencing this as any religious holiday gathering because we don't practice any religion. It's just a spring breakfast gathering. Son is bringing fruit, I'm bringing breakfast meats, and daughter is providing baked goods. Daughter was going to have an egg hunt, but that may have to be indoors due to the winter weather. I don't know if honey will make it to the gathering, because even though round one of the freezing rain/sleet we had overnight didn't cause any issues on the road this morning, the rain/snow predicted Friday night may. We'll see.

I also have my mittens in the wash today and am hoping I can put them away for the season??

Woke at 5am because I was cold, which doesn't make sense because I haven't removed any winter blankets yet.

Trying to re-do or rearrange my meals....again. I don't enjoy soy yogurt for breakfast, but I also can't seem to find something with as much protein and calcium either, with the least amount of calories. And the fiber thing. And having to avoid lactose and gluten. It is so much to put together. I wish my innards were normal. I look at normal people who eat whatever they want and they neither gain weight nor have a bad reaction. They just eat and eat and eat. They would starve on the total calories I eat. I don't get it. Especially since I've maintained my weight within 5 lbs for 30 yrs. I don't understand what is going on now. Everything changed after the sepsis hospitalization.

I don't think work will be busy today...but you never know.

I enjoy folded paper crafts. I still use a couple of paper boxes with lids I made 20 years ago, I kid you not. I keep buttons in them. It's very mediative, and you end up with a useful item. Win win!
