Wed Dec 31 2025 - NYE
NYE

Another darker than usual morning. What I thought was light snow was actually freezing mist/rain. And I was pretty wet when I arrived home from my walk.

So. Last day of the year. It was definitely a one-of-a-kind year. I usually put together a picture review of the past year, but OD has been offline since xmas eve (even though it was supposed to be available until Jan 31) and I deleted many of the pics from my phone that are only available on OD. Maybe tonight or tomorrow I'll try to put together a recap, since I'm working today.

I don’t think honey is coming up tonight. He doesn't know if he is working tomorrow or not, which will be the deciding factor obviously. Then, during our conversation he decided he would just come on Friday as usual regardless of whether he works tomorrow or not. And then he said maybe he'd see me tonight. Gah! I do not like wishy-washy. I have all the ingredients for bacon wrapped tater tots (my NYE junk food tradition), but I need to assemble and bake. I want to know if it will be tonight or Friday!

Anyway... Work. This week has been the slowest last week of December that I can remember! So slow, that I am taking Friday off. So slow, that I am reading a book during the workday--Pachinko. And it is a really good book!! I rarely find books that capture all of my attention and that call to me during the day from the nightstand, but this is one that I can actually sit still and read and be drawn into during the day, instead of just before bedtime. I think Hulu(?) has the miniseries. If so, I'll watch it after I finish the book before canceling Hulu. I only subscribed to Hulu so I could watch the last season of A Handmaid's Tale.

Shoveled for an hour last night to get a new crust off the steps and driveway that had fallen yesterday morning. My arm is burning as a result. I don’t think this nasty case of tendinitis will ever go away.
