Finished listening to Mrs Plansky Goes Rogue by Spencer Quinn. This was the second Mrs Plansky book, and it was fine, just like the first one. But just another one of those senior citizen solves a crime book. And this genre is not my fave.
Took my first bike ride yesterday!! I rode 4.7 miles in 40 minutes. Just a putt-putt ride to enjoy the scenery. It was mostly exploring: trails, designated bike lanes, that kind of thing. Oh, what fun it was though! I would have gone further but my butt was getting sore. It'll take some time to break my butt in lol! And my thighs, as there were some uphills that burned!
I went to Sierra after the ride and bought a small fanny pack for my bike rides, since I want to take my phone next time for the maps because I missed the access to a bike path and so took a side road back. Which was an adventure in itself, because it was industrial, with a trucking company, a storage company, empty buildings and parking lots....and a random Wendy's! It was such a strange place to see fast food, in the middle of nowhere with no other retail. But there were people in the drive-through so someone knows about it!
Dog and I also took a bird watching walk yesterday. I saw some Blue-winged Teals, an Eastern Bluebird, and something I can't identify. I thought it was a wood duck at first, but its head coloring was off. I'm stumped, because I can't find anything like it in my bird book. Saw three painted turtles sunning.
And I just have to post this perfect rainbow picture that came up in memories from two years ago when I was still living at honey's.
It was the first time I've ever seen the actual end of the rainbow. There is not a pot of gold there, unfortunately.
Work will be busy through Thursday, as the company sent out a district-wide letter to NYC schools that Thursday is the deadline. At least I got a heads up this time!

There's only one place that I know of that is easy to get to, where I have ever seen turtles. We don't have THAT many of them around here, so it's always an event when I do spot one!
