It was a perfect evening so I got on the bike and circled 2 lakes and made it up a (different) hill that had killed me when I first started riding (and I had ended up walking it up the hill then). Maybe I'm not a failure after all haha! 10 miles, 70 minutes. As I was returning and going down that hill I passed a man on his electric bike going up the hill without pedaling and thought smugly, "Ha! I got up that hill without any assistance." Every time I get passed by someone flying by on an ebike I get annoyed. At the speeds they are going, they need to be on the street, not the trail. They don't even slow down when people are near or they're passing. And I imagine they tell their doctors they 'rode' their bike for 10 miles as exercise. About the same amount of exercise as sitting on the couch watching TV.

The peonies I rescued from the front lawn and planted in the garden still have not bloomed! I see peonies in full bloom everywhere except here. I am so anxious to see what color they are. I was afraid they may be white, but now I'm thinking they will be pale pink???

The irises are fading. Yeah, they're pretty but their bloom time is sooo short. Not a fan.

The school field trips to the lake/park have begun. Dozens of kids walk past my house on their way to and from, with fishing rods and balls and frisbees. I think it is one of the best weeks of the year! I stand at the window feeling like a prisoner and wave, and once in awhile one child will see me and wave back which starts a domino effect with the rest of the kids waving. Even if they don't wave, it makes my day seeing the life and energy and potential of a lifetime to come going past my window.

Straightened out the business with the wrist brace and the wrong insurance. Someone on their end had reactivated my old insurance for some reason instead of using the insurance in place. Their error, not mine.

Honey told me a story of someone he is working with who believed hundreds of people were flying to California to vote in the primaries because ID doesn't have to be shown. (It is not required here either.) Honey, having lived in California, corrected this idiot's statement and explained how voting was conducted in California. It just makes me wonder where these idiots get their info: Ibelieveanything.com? The Gullible YouTube channel?

Woke in the middle of the night with a lot of pain in both wrists, both elbows, both knees. That's not good. I probably should give my body a rest but I also hate to miss being out on a beautiful day.

I was contacted again by that head honcho guy from the partnering business, this time about invoices!! Totally unrelated to my job. I forwarded it on to the owner. I hope she will insist we work with someone else in the organization who knows what is going on instead of this bozo.
