Garden Arch

I've been thinking a lot about how I want to incorporate the arch from son's wedding into the raised garden bed. Initially I was going to place it behind the raised garden, to soften (block lol!) the neighbor's big white garage that serves as the backdrop, but now I'm reading the arch should lead to something, so now I'm not sure. Where could I place the arch to lead to something?

I have picked the vine, though. Lonicera 'Mandarin'. And I'm thinking it should be off balance, so I would only plant the vine on one side, the asparagus would hide the other side, at least halfway up. Another thought is instead of one long raised bed, I split it, plant the asparagus in one bed, the vine in the other, with the arch in between. But I still run into that issue of the arch not leading anywhere. More thinking required.

I took some time yesterday to weed my front gardens. Started during my lunch break, but was interrupted by the neighbor several doors down who was driving by. We caught up, since I haven't seen him all winter. He confirmed what I had suspected, that a neighbor two houses down had passed away and his children are cleaning out the house. Apparently, the man was a 'collector' if you know what I mean. And I learned the alive neighbor is now a great-grandfather! I was shocked, because he looks too young to be a great, but he told me he is 82, which shocked me again! He definitely acts and looks a decade younger. Finished the weeding after dinner.

Today should be 70F. I'm hoping to get a bike ride in after work🤞 I got a pair of bike shorts but don't know if I have the confidence to wear them haha! I made it through the two decades of leggings and skinny jeans without buying a pair because they're just yuck on every body. So wearing something that tight, with these thighs....?

Saw the first Great Blue Heron of the year at the lake this morning. This bird is definitely one of my favorites. Saw one swan at the usual nesting spot this morning. I have only seen them twice since the mating dance and am afraid they may be nesting elsewhere. I'm still not convinced this was one of the mating pair, as I did not see the other anywhere. It may just be one of the young from last year returning home.

I wish the Assahollah would just keep his stupid mouth shut so things could be resolved. He is not helping. But his keeping his mouth shut is like me avoiding candy. Not going to happen.
