Sunday

Finished reading The Temps by Andrew DeYoung. It was okay, but the topic of a billionaire ending the world as we know it was rather unsettling. The book also caused me to have a few post-apocalyptic dreams too. (Reading the credits at the end, turns out the author is from my state.)

The high yesterday occurred at midnight and went down from there. It was 45F when I got up Sunday. Ugh. Still managed a walk midfternoon when the temp was 40 and a brisk north wind came off the lake. This morning I noticed several flocks of gulls overhead, with one flock landing on the still-frozen lake.

Something started eating at the rabbit that dog killed a couple weeks ago, the rabbit preserved by the cold. Except, now that it has been feasted upon, dog decided to partake as well and attempted to bring a bloody rabbit leg into the house. I got him to drop it, and then took a shovel and lobbed both the leg and the headless rabbit carcass over the fence and into the woods. I had left the dead rabbit in the yard because I had hoped a coyote or fox would come get it and it would be captured on my trail cam. No such luck.

Watched some videos on kayaking. I really want to learn how, although now I wonder how much the paddling would affect my wrists? I also want to ride a bike again so I can explore further than walking allows. I just have to figure out the watering eyes thing that happen from the breeze hitting my eyes.

The bulb garden on my table is in full bloom. And as I was shopping for a birthday gift, I got myself a gift: a small DIY moss terrarium kit! It came complete with gravel, larger rocks and three kinds of moss. The cork top has a light implanted in it. Well worth the price.

Another thing I hate about March? My siblings get together in Florida, so all communications end with me for the month, because they don't group chat since they are together.

Had another mild panic attack during the night. Ugh. I'm going to mention this to my dr at this year's annual.

Spent a lot of money this weekend on stuff. Birthday gift, I ordered hamburger buns and another loaf directly online since my store doesn't carry the buns, those swimshorts, a new heating pad. Terrarium.Deposit on the cabin. Oh well. I'm so frugal, it's difficult for me to spend money on things I don't really need. Food and housing. Anything else I don't really need.

Those bulbs are gorgeous! A moss terreriam … I didn’t know you could buy them. Where did you find it? I love moss!

I got the moss terrarium at a local hobby shop. It's called a moss bowl and is from a company called Unique Gardener.

Thank you! It's really cool....
