We had a nice Saturday brunch at daughter's. The youngest grandchild had his first lollipop, it was so cute to watch him lick it. There was an (indoor) egg hunt for the three kids, and then repeated egg hunts for the adults as the kids hid the eggs...over and over and over. My daughter-in-law has no concept of Easter, so it was amusing watching her expressions and hearing her questions as we explained the basics. What??? How did he move the boulder from the cave entrance? Wait, he was white skinned and blue-eyed even though this occurred in the middle east? You really notice the breaks in the plot line when you have these sorts of conversations with people who were never exposed to any religion growing up. A fresh perspective from the usual indoctrination that pervades society. Anyway, four hours later I was mentally exhausted from the kids' rollercoaster emotions and took a nap when I got home to recharge.
And of course we had to discuss Kristi Noem's husband's perverted fetish. It never ceases to amaze me at how much that side of the aisle rails against the very stuff they are guilty of. Shout out hate toward trans people while their peers parade around in huge knockers and women's negligee. Scream about the sacredness of the nuclear family while having affairs and trafficking women. The made up Pizzagate conspiracy theory against the Dems = the actual Epstein files cover-up protecting the GOP. It goes on and on. At least the Dems don't pretend to be something they're not, don't pretend to be holier than thou. I'd rather be a woke atheist with empathy than a self-absorbed hypocrit religious.
Stopped at Marshalls and found a pair of Danskin sweat pants that fit exactly how I like. I'm buying more colors from Amazon because it is so difficult to find pants with a straight leg that fits all the parts of my body.
Watched the movie Weapons last night, a horror/psychological thriller movie, but not slasher. It was pretty good.
Picked up fresh asparagus again at $1.99/lb although I have no idea what I'll eat it with. I have no plan for dinners this week. Had to go to 3 different grocery stores before I could find the soy milk I drink, which was odd. Also grabbed two other GF high fiber high protein cereals that DO NOT have stevia. I figure I can maybe mix them together so the whole bowl won't be stevia. I'm not throwing out a $7 bag of cereal!
It sprinkled and sleeted on and off all day yesterday but today is finally sunny...sunny but a cold 30F and breezy. I'm hoping it warms enough to ride my bike. If not, I'll still get a walk in. I'm just having a hard time getting moving this morning!
