Watched Hamnet last night. It was pretty good. I have zero knowledge of, or schooling in, Shakespeare/his works, so to me it was an entirely new story. Maybe that worked in my favor. I really like the lead actress, Jessie Buckley, having seen her in a few other things.

I ended up biking/exploring another 5 miles of the Gateway Trail yesterday after honey left. This section was actually quite rural and was so peaceful. When I reached my turnaround point, I seriously considered continuing on because there is only 4 miles left. But that would have meant 18 miles roundtrip, and the most I've ever done is 12. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have made it, as I was pooping out when I hit mile 8 on the way back. I'm sure the 90F didn't help.

Woke up to a text from sister about Sen. Graham. I thought at first she'd mixed him up with Sen McConnell who has been MIA for weeks. Should we hope there actually is a god who is now picking off these evil people one by one? If a third one goes down soon, I'll be a believer. Because another innocent person has been murdered by ICE and ICE lies about it. Because the GOP says mental health services will reduce mass shootings, but they're pulling mental health funding grants to schools. Because protected lands for endangered species are now open for business thanks to these evil people. Because there is a major outbreak of foodborne illness in this country and our govt of evil people is doing nothing and is denying there is an issue. Because...because....because...

Mowed the lawn at 8am this morning since it is going to be hot hot hot for the next week. I'm sure my electric mower did not wake anyone.

Mixed up turkey black bean burgers for the week and broccoli/cauliflower salad for lunch. Hoping the Colorado peaches I bought yesterday ripen by tomorrow for my lunch as well.
