Yesterday when I was walking, there were two cops patrolling the busy road for speeding. I saw a car heading east, a police car heading east right behind, and a school bus stopped and pointed west with its red flashing lights. The car didn't even slow. The police turned on their flashers, I laughed and clapped.
And then I wondered if it was the same person the police had just pulled over for speeding. Wouldn't that have been a shitty way to start the day? That school bus fine is going to be steep.
Got the petunias in the pots and the thunbergia planted. I was hesitant to plant seeds because there was a chance of downpours. (Didn't happen, just some sprinkles.)
The biggest discovery of the day was what didn't happen. I was clearing out the stash of empty seed packets from last year and found the tags for the daffodils I planted last year. I planted 12 yellow and 12 white...and only the white came up. I counted all 12. AND I found the gladiolus tag and it was for pink ones, but they all came up white last year! I knew it! When they bloomed I was confused as to why I bought white because I'm not a fan of white flowers. And now I know I hadn't lost my mind. I will not be buying bulbs from big box store anymore.
Pretty good day at work, it kept me busy enough that I didn't have time to eat lunch until 1:30.
Can't post any pics today of what's blooming this week. Maybe things will be fixed over the weekend.
